&lt;br/&gt;抄録: Digital images of the rib eye area at the 6th and 7th ribs of Japanese Black steers were taken&#xD;
using photographing equipment at meat processing plants in area A and area B. The ratio of marbling&#xD;
area to rib eye area (FAR)，overall coarseness of marbling，coarseness of the largest marbling particle in the rib eye，ratio of minor and major axes of the rib eye，and complexity of the rib eye shape were calculated by image analysis. The carcass traits considered were carcass weight，&#xD;
rib eye area，rib thickness，subcutaneous fat thickness，BMS number，and BFS grade. The influence of the beef carcass&#xD;
traits assigned by a grader and image analysis traits on the carcass unit price in each market was investigated. The BMS number had the highest impact on the carcass unit price in the two models of&#xD;
BMS numbers utilized for both markets，and the standardized partial regression coefficients (SPRC)&#xD;
of the BMS number were 0.687~0.690 for area A and 0.625~0.654 for area B. The traits that had&#xD;
the second-highest impact were the BFS grade in area A and the rib thickness in area B. The FAR had&#xD;
the highest influence on the carcass unit price in the two FAR models utilized for both markets，and&#xD;
the SPRC of the FAR was 0.644~0.681 for area A and 0.569~0.638 for area B. The traits that had&#xD;
the second-highest impact were the rib eye area in area A and the overall coarseness or rib thickness in&#xD;
area B.</description>

&lt;br/&gt;抄録: Among the previously established enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs), an ELISA&#xD;
using the full length of recombinant thrombospondin-related adhesive protein of Babesia gibsoni&#xD;
(rBgTRAPf) is considered as the most sensitive diagnostic method for the detection of antibody to B.&#xD;
gibsoni in dogs. However, the expression of rBgTRAPf in high concentration is poor and thus limits its&#xD;
usefulness as diagnostic antigen. To improve its expression level, we have truncated BgTRAPf into two&#xD;
fragments having either N- or C-terminus (BgTRAPn or BgTRAPc). The expression of BgTRAPc protein&#xD;
in Escherichia coli yielded adequate recombinant protein. The specificity and sensitivity of ELISAs with&#xD;
the truncated proteins were determined using B. gibsoni-experimentally infected dog sera and specific&#xD;
pathogen-free (SPF) dog sera. A total of 254 field dog sera were examined by the ELISA with&#xD;
rBgTRAPn, rBgTRAPc and rBgTRAPf as well as by indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT). The&#xD;
specificity of rBgTRAPc was highest (97.15%) and its kappa value was more (0.8003) than rBgTRAPn&#xD;
(0.7083). With sufficient level of expression as well as higher specificity and reliable sensitivity,&#xD;
rBgTRAPc appears to be a potential candidate antigen for serodiagnosis of B. gibsoni infection in dogs.</description>

&lt;br/&gt;抄録: This paper reviewed existing lactation models which are mainly applied to dairy cows. There&#xD;
are many related papers; in 50 papers, 90 lactation curves are presented. The most frequently used&#xD;
model is Wood’s (1967), which was quoted in 75 papers. In general, the earlier the year of the model&#xD;
presented in the paper, the higher its frequency of quotation. Wood’s (1967) model was followed&#xD;
by other models from Brody et al. (1923), Sikka (1950), Nelder (1966), Dave (1971), Cobby et al.&#xD;
(1978), Ali et al. (1987), Wilmink (1987), and Grossman et al. (1988); these models were quoted&#xD;
9, 8, 17, 11, 9, 12, 18, and 11 times, respectively. The classic models, which have been mainly&#xD;
described as the function of time, have less room for improvement and have become increasingly&#xD;
complicated of late. Test-day models have room for further reversion.&#xD;
文献をレビューし，乳牛を中心に泌乳曲線を整理した。&#xD;
多数の関連文献が存在しており，本稿のレビューは完全&#xD;
網羅的ではないものの，50以上の論文において，90以上&#xD;
の式が提案されていた。もっとも使われていたモデルは&#xD;
Wood (1967) であり，75の論文で適用されるかレビュー&#xD;
されていた。一般に，モデルが発表された時期が早い&#xD;
ほど，利用頻度は高かった。そのほか，Brody et al.&#xD;
(1923) が９ 回，Sikka (1950) が８ 回，Nelder (1966)&#xD;
が17回，Dave (1971) が11回，Cobby et al. (1978) が&#xD;
９ 回，Ali et al. (1987) が12回，Wilmink (1987) が&#xD;
18回Grossman et al. (1988)が11回の引用回数であった。&#xD;
時間の関数として表されるclassic モデルは，単純なモ&#xD;
デルは出尽くした感があり，近年はモデルの複雑化が進&#xD;
んでいる。test day models には多様なバリエーション&#xD;
があり，類型化のためには，詳細なレビューが必要であ&#xD;
るとともに，今後の改良の余地が残っている。</description>
